Newbury Comics Trip

I made a trip to one of my favorite independent record stores Newbury Comics yesterday. It’s one of the premiere indie record shops in New England with over 25 locations [*]. Stores like Newbury are nice to see in this increasingly digital age, and digging through stacks of CD’s and admiring vinyl artwork is one of my favorite pastimes. But since I average about $50 every time I walk through those doors, I only go sparingly.
Boston has a small but nice indie record and vinyl scene. I say we’re on par with Seattle as far as other mom-and-pops-store scene cities go.
Above you see Frank Miller’s classic and debut 1984 graphic novel Ronin (yes I’m a closet nerd), and the debut album from one of my favorite hip-hop artist Skyzoo. (Who I had a chance to interview this summer.)
